Birds & Wildlife - Queen Elizabeth National Park


This 3 Days/2 Nights safari will take you Uganda’s most popular National Park named after the Queen of England. The park’s sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for classic Big game, 10 primate species including chimpanzees and over 600 species of birds.

The jagged “blue” Rwenzori Mountains gives Queen Elizabeth the best backdrop. Dotted with dozens of enormous crater lakes, the dramatic rolling green hills, panoramic views of the Kazinga Channel makes this a park a perfect spot for all categories of travelers (honeymooners, Adventurous,, photography, research among others.

Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe - Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Adventure Consults’ representative will meet you on arrival at Entebbe International Airport, assist through customs, or (pick from your residence/hotel if already in Uganda), proceed to the domestic check-in point for your bush flight to Queen Elizabeth National park (departs Entebbe @ 7:00 AM & 12:30 PM, Check in time - one hour in advance). Note that flight schedules are subject to change.

On arrival at Mweya/Kasese airstrip, meet your guide for a briefing and transfer to the lodge. While in the park, you will be amazed by the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Ranges, crater lakes, hills and Birdlife.

In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive where you may be rewarded with game including the waterbucks, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. Sundowner in the savannah – drinks on own account and return to the Lodge for dinner.

Day 2: Game Viewing & Water Safari on the Kazinga channel.

Following an early morning cup of tea/coffee, embark on a morning game drive along Kasenyi track and Queens’s mile in the park and keep a watch out for Lion, Elephant, Cape buffalo, Warthogs, Leopard, Hyena, Mongoose, Waterbuck, Ugandan Kob, and lots of the many small animals and birds.

After lunch, enjoy a unique boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through high concentrations of Hippos and a wide variety of animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. This river cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colourful and stupendous with well over 600 recorded species having been spotted. Meals and Overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Fly to Entebbe – Connect to international flight.

A relaxed morning and later transfer to the airstrip in time for your 1005hrs flight to Entebbe Airport arriving at 1125 AM. Please keep an eye out for game as you fly over the vast savannah, Mountains of the moon with its peaks in a distance, the clear blue crater Lakes and farmlands.

Proceed to the airport and connect to your onward international flight. Please book return flights departing Entebbe after 1pm. Note that flight schedules are subject to change.
